  • Hamish Fulton

    1946 born in London, UK
lives and works in Canterbury, UK

Hamish Fulton focuses on one major thematic complex in his art: nature and man´s experience of nature. Over the past 30 years the artist has been undertaking extended walking tours on the world´s five continents. Using drawings made during these tours, he later processes the respective experiences in his work. Hamish Fulton aims to find a generally valid form for the primal and direct relationship between man and the earth in all its diversity.
