Johanneskirche on Freisinger Domberg (DE)
November 18, 2017 – January 26, 2018 | daily 8 am – 5 pm

From Saturday, November 18, 2017, the Diözesanmuseum presents its newly acquired light installation »Lost in Thought« at the Johanneskirche on the Freisinger Domberg. The Viennese artist Brigitte Kowanz created this cube of neon writing and mirrors that seems to produce endless light tunnels, thus opening up manifold spaces of thought and interpretations. The cooperation of the Diözesanmuseum and Domkirchenstiftung makes it possible to show the work in the gothic altarpiece of St. John’s Church, creating a charming contrast between contemporary light art and medieval religious architecture.
