David Reed | Curch Windows for Basilica Rankweil (AT)
Opening ceremony to inaugurate the window cycle: Sunday, July 3, 2016

New York based artist David Reed (*1946, San Diego), a major representative of contemporary abstract painting, has created a three-part window cycle for the Rankweil Basilica. The church located on Liebfrauenberg is a famous pilgrimage and culture site. In 2012, artist Matt Mullican (*1951, Santa Monica) already realized for the memorial chapel several constellations, so-called »Charts«.
David Reed’s project took several years to be completed, a process in which he was accompanied by Häusler Contemporary. We are delighted that these impressive church windows can now be solemnly inaugurated.
