Häusler Contemporary Munich and Florian Sundheimer proudly present a special project cooperation on the occasion of the exhibition »Räume auf Papier« [spaces on paper]. Drawings by five sculptors from the gallerie’s artistic programs show how spatial thinking manifests itself in two-dimensionality.

At the core of a sculptor’s artistic practice lies the examination of volume. He deals with the relation between object and space and with space itself. Is this fact also reflected in the sculptural drawings? In their joint exhibition, Häusler Contemporary and Florian Sundheimer address this question with five contemporary artists: Norbert Kricke, Gary Kuehn, Olaf Metzel, Roman Signer and Keith Sonnier. Two sculptural works by Norbert Kricke and Keith Sonnier complete the show of works on paper. In this presentation, the similarities between the explorations of spatial questions in two as well as three dimensions become apparent.
