We are delighted to present our newly designed Collector’s Room, created exclusively for our space by Hamish Fulton (*1946). Known as the «Walking Artist», Fulton offers an impressive insight into his diverse and unique approach to sharing the experiences of his often extensive walks with viewers through his selection of works on paper, photo-text pieces, and wall sculptures.
Hamish Fulton dedicates his artistic practice to the fundamental connection between humans and nature, placing the conscious «walking» of the world as an act of active and deliberate perception at the forefront. Since the late 1960s, he has undertaken countless conceptual walks across all five continents, weaving an invisible web of steps around the globe. These journeys serve as the foundation for his works, which emerge from the records of his experiences.
In our gallery space – back within an interior setting – his works evoke the experience of nature in a remarkable way. Fulton masterfully translates the richness of the Earth and the relationship between humans and nature into universal art forms, creating a bridge between what is lived and what is observed.
