Judy Ledgerwood's paintings are characterized by expressive colors and ornamentation. The artist intentionally takes her position within art history by combining elements from color field painting, geometrical abstraction and textile design.

Several residencies at Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg since 2016 have given Ledgerwood the unique opportunity to combine her innovative artistic approach with a traditional craft. The results are haptically attractive objects that explore the symbolic level of the vase, the colors and the ornament.
