Häusler Contemporary Munich is pleased to announce a group exhibition with gallery artists and guests focusing on the body as the foundation of world experience.
The human figure has always been a subject of artistic creation, but in the actions and performances of the 1960s it was itself discovered as an artistic means of expression and instrument of experience. The body as a convertible medium, located within time and space, significantly coined a new and ephemeral understanding of art.
Under the title «Transformations» we combine works from a period from 1970 to today that address the human body in many different ways. They visualize the body as an object of projection, seismograph and field of energy just as well as his finiteness, his stylistic scopes and his interconnectedness with the conditions of his environment.
