We are very pleased to inform you about a milestone of one of the most recent projects of James Turrell (*1943, Los Angeles, lives in Flagstaff, US) accompanied by Häusler Contemporary: the installation of the light cupola in the new building of the Wahrendorff Clinic in Sehnde near Hannover, Germany.
"Tailored to the special needs of psychiatry and psychosomatics and the requirements of the central dining room, Turrell has created a lighting concept that intensively combines the experience of art with the therapeutic effect of light, colors and space," describes Dr. Marc Ziegenbein, medical director and head physician at Klinikum Wahrendorff. Light and colors are relevant sensory perceptions that have an impact on both physical and mental health.
